This is the reason that Rhonda is one of the best roommates. She breaks down all the numbers for me so I don’t have to. I just cut checks and don’t have to think. When I owe someone money or vice versa, I love to have it in email form for 2 reasons: when I’m verbally told, I normally don’t have my checkbook on me and so would have to ask again, and then probably ask one more time after I filled out the top part of the check and got to the amount field. The other reason (especially for bills) is for historical reasons.

Also, the purpose of this post was to brag about how low our rent is for our huuuuge apartment. :)
