The other night, as we were trying to go to bed, I had an urge to see the hit ’90s show Dinosaurs, so Kevin pulled some clips up on youtube. I told him that I couldn’t go to bed until I saw Baby Sinclair say “Not the mama” or “I’m the baby, gotta love me.” I remember watching the show when I was younger and my parents would always start laughing when he said those lines. Perhaps my parents really related to the “I’m the baby, gotta love me” line when we would do asshole things as kids and they still had to take care of us.
Anyway, I keep comparing modern day shows to Dinosaurs now. I say things like “That show is pretty funny, but I mean, not Dinosaurs funny.”
Yesterday, while discussing the hit ’90s show Dinosaurs with Kevin again - Kevin said, “Baby Sinclair really reminds me of your dad. Especially when he smiles.” I totally see it and it made me laugh. Maybe that is why I wanted to see Baby Sinclair so badly - just wanted to see my dad smile.
