I found my electric blanket so my toes will be nice and toasty tonight.

In a related note, should said blanket ignite my down comforter and I die in a blaze of glory tonight, I’d like to leave a few things to some tumblr friends:

Whitney gets the bottle of vodka I always have in the back of my car. Shit, she gets all my booze.

Erin and Alishan get to split my shoes - trust me, there’s enough to go around.

Alishan also gets my J. Crew employee discount. Surely they can transfer that since it’s in my tumblr will…

Lacey gets all of my cameras (I seriously have, like, 4 digital cameras) which she can trade in for a cool lens for her new camera.

Think that’s it for this round of “In case my electric blanket kills me tonight.” Don’t fret if you get left out - it’s going to be cold all week.

I just realized that I love and hate the H-E-B Grocery store by my apartment for the same reason. It’s never crowded. That is why I love it. I hate it because they constantly leave expired crap out on their shelves. It’s the first time in my life where I’ve looked at expiration dates on things besides milk to determine if I should buy it. I’m not talking the stuff expires tomorrow, I’m talking the stuff expired last weekish.

Well these two are related (I’m assuming), because they DON’T have many customers, therefore things don’t get bought up as quickly and so they don’t go around noticing expiration dates - OR they do notice the dates, but are trying to save a dime and trick the customer and put that shit on the front line.

Anyhoo, a while back I was getting into this one brand of yogurt and one day noticed that every single one was expired. I even pulled the ones from the back. So what would a normal person do? Maybe tell the manager, or ask when a shipment is coming in, or maybe write a nasty email to the H-E-B headquarters or something. What did this non-confrontational gal do? Bought up all the expired yogurt and just hoped that they would replenish it with non-expired yogurt.

I’ve been looking at this for a while, and can’t seem to figure it out. Is there a way to block event invites from certain people (without blocking them completely) or, I dunno…blocking all event invites that come from A FUCKING STATE THAT I DON’T LIVE IN?

I get about 10 event invites from one person a month, and I don’t live in their state. If there isn’t a way, I may have to do a de-friend. Anyone know?

Three weeks ago, my brother moved out of my parents’ house into a house he bought nearby. He had moved in with my parents about 4 years ago when he couldn’t afford his condo note anymore. He brought a small black Daschund with him when he moved in which my mom has grown to love and adore as her ‘granddog’.

We were never allowed to have pets growing up because my dad doesn’t like them. We did manage 3 rabbits during childhood, but they had to be kept outdoors. However, my dad had to accept this dog moving in because he really had no choice.

Well last week, my brother finally moved the dog into his new home and now refuses to bring him back to my parents’ house because the dog needs to “get used to his new home”. This kind of made my mom depressed. Every time she comes home and the dog isn’t there, she gets sad. So instead of going the easy route of buying her a similar pet, my dad appeased her by buying her a 2010 Chevy Traverse this weekend.
