I had never heard of these until my coworker, Trevor, brought them to a tailgate. They have many names apparently, but we call them “Shoe Soles”. I tried to find more information about them online. Emeril mentioned them in his blog. There, he calls them “elephant ears”, which actually does have a small wikipedia article - “…fried bread disks covered with nuts and a thick, sticky, sugary substance.” This was my non-nutritious breakfast this morning.

When Napster came back as a pay-for-music site, I used it to legally download. Then I found out that Rhapsody had a bigger selection, so I canceled my Napster account. It took forever to cancel it though and it was such a pain. I KNEW that rhapsody was going to be the same, so I was excited when my credit card was considered lost/stolen and I got a new number. No need to call Rhapsody now! :)
